SALE-based Dakota Ditcheva has claimed a British crown for Muay Thai boxing.

The 17-year-old came out on top in the battle for a British championship on May 17 at the Tanko Main Event at the USN Arena, Bolton.

Dakota Ditcheva secured a dominant win to be crowned the new ISKA 50.5kg British Champion, with victory over Bolton’s Emma Bragg.

The Northern Spirit fighter landed a series of unforgiving knee combinations in round one, which saw Bragg receive standing counts to eight twice before continuing. Ditcheva’s success came early in the second round following another knee strike to Bragg’s ribs.

She is on a winning streak, with this win adding to her flawless record of eight wins.

She said: “There is a lot of expectation on my shoulders at such a young age, but I enjoy it, I like the pressure. After every fight, I just want to get back in the ring and this fight is no exception.”
