THE Cancer Research UK Sale Committee held a thank you afternoon for supporters at St. Mary's Church Centre to celebrate the committee's 60th Anniversary on April 23.
St. Paul's Community Choir provided musical entertainment and Dr. Allan Jordan, from Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute, was the guest speaker.
Sarah Peach, fundraising manager for the area, presented the committee with a certificate highlighting the £410,387 raised since 1956.
Tea and cakes were served and a pleasant and successful afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended.
After last year's success, the committee will be hosting another Afternoon Tea on June 25.
