A SALE charity has received a slice of Gascoigne Halman’s £25,000 community challenge fund.
New Way Forward, which aims to help and support individuals in the community with mental health issue, received £1,000 from the estate agent.
The charity helps more 100 people in the Sale area, providing services seven days a week, with a variety of activities on offer including arts and crafts, walking, healthy eating and physical exercise.
New Way Forward plans to use the money to fund day trips.
William Holding, treasurer at the charity said: “We are thrilled to receive this generous donation from Gascoigne Halman. This money will allow us to take the whole group out on day trips of their choice, this builds self-confidence and prevents our members feeling isolated which is vital when recovering from mental health issues.”
Gascoigne Halman celebrated their 25th anniversary by setting up a £25,000 fund to support local causes. Their aim was to select charities and community groups that create a positive impact on their community whilst providing long term benefits for the area.
