UP to 100 jobs will be created at Partington’s new £6million dementia care home.

Kingsley Healthcare has announced the start of recruitment as construction of the 62-bedroom home passes a significant landmark.

The roof is now on the building, which sits on a former paint factory site on Wood Lane, and the contractor is ready to start on interior fittings.

Four show bedrooms will be ready for inspection in May and everything is on track for a July opening.

Up to 100 jobs will be required, including nurses, carers, domestics, gardeners and chefs.

The home’s facilities will include a cinema, library, hairdressers, tea room and sun room.

There will also be space for training as the home – to be called Four Oaks after its four wings – will become the centre of Kingsley’s training programmes.

Kinglsey’s regional director Ryk Izycki said: “Kingsley plans to continue to expand in the North West. We are eyeing other potential sites in the area for developments that will create further jobs and assist regeneration.”
