WILLOW Tree Road in Hale, Altrincham, was closed on Sunday, June 1st, in order to throw a street party celebrating 40 years of the borough of Trafford.
On the day residents were responsible for providing food for the partygoers, as part of the Big Trafford Lunch. There also participated in activities, including treasure hunts, karaoke singing, and egg and spoon races to mark the event.
More than 125 people took part in the street party in total, with Trafford Council supporting the event by granting Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) free of charge to ensure the event would be enjoyed by all.
