A 98-year-old man was taken to hospital after a kitchen fire at his Urmston flat.
Crews from Stretford, Sale and Eccles fire stations were called to the address, on Stretford Road, at around 5.50am on April 9.
The fire began accidentally after a quantity of cardboard was left on top of the cooker.
The man was given oxygen therapy by firefighters and then was taken to hospital by ambulance for a precautionary check up.
