Timperley Civic Society encourages high standards of architecture and town planning and stimulates public interest in the beauty, history and character of the area.
It also encourages the preservation and improvement of features of general public amenity or historic interest and fosters a spirit of village pride.

Timperley Civic Society regularly checks over the latest planning permissions which are being applied for in the Timperley area. The object of this scrutiny is to try and ensure that there are no developments in the village which would have a detrimental effect on the area, either because of something destroyed, or something undesirable being built. We are also concerned for the wellbeing of the local residents.
Bletchley Park, a quiet unobtrusive country mansion set in acres of land, in Buckinghamshire, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station and trains to London. During World War II, thousands of men and women toiled endlessly, day and night in the Park, doing vital work which is said to have shortened the war by several years.
Timperley Civic Society is concerned about a Planning Application which has been made for a change of use for the premises at 395/395a, Stockport Road - the CO-OP store near the library.
"Colours from Cave Man to Modern Man" by Geoff Flood. The talk will consider the use of pigments and developments of new pigments in different periods putting them into their historical context.
