PEOPLE are being warned to be on the alert for a phone scam.
Con artists are ringing homes in Trafford claiming to be from 'nuisance call prevention'.
They then ask for bank details from people, claiming this is for a contract to block nuisance calls.
A Messenger reader who received such a call, but realised in time that it was a con, said: "They are very convincing."
The police action fraud line is on 0300 123 2040.
