METROLINK customers are being reminded to plan their journey over the summer, with changes to services as the St Peter’s Square stop closes for the first phase of transformation work.

The start of work will see the stop close for eight weeks from Sunday June 28, with no tram services running through it until the end of August.

For customers travelling on the Altrincham, Manchester Airport, East Didsbury, Eccles and MediaCityUK lines, the newly revamped Deansgate-Castlefield will offer the closest city centre stop.

Services on all other lines will run into Piccadilly.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) has announced details of shuttle bus services and walking routes to help passengers get across the city during the work.
