ON Bank Holiday Sunday, May 23, volunteers from the Sale Wombles litter-picking group turned out to give Sale Moor a tidy.
A total of 46 bin bags were filled with rubbish.
A Sale Wombles spokesman said: “It was great to see both existing and new volunteers giving up their time to make a positive difference to their community.
“It was also good to see lots of little pickers enthusiastically getting stuck in.”
The Wombles’ next litter pick will be at 2pm on Sunday, June 28, meeting outside Sainsbury's, when the group will be focusing on Sale town centre.
All are welcome to come along and help out.
