THE residents of Homelaurel House Retirement Apartments, Whitehall Road, Sale, held a barbecue on May 8 to commemorate the 70th anniversary of VE Day.
Although it rained the function was well attended and everyone had a great time.
A tombola and donations raised £100 in aid of the Royal British Legion.
