VISITORS to Stretford's Longford Park will be able to enjoy all the fun of the fair over the weekend.

A traditional family fun park will be operating from Thursday, May 21 until Bank Holiday Monday, May 25.

It will be officially opened by the Mayor ,Cllr Ejaz Malik, at 4pm on Thursday - and all rides will then be free for 30 minutes. It is the first time for many years that a traditional fair has visited the park.

Northwest Funfairs will be operating the fun park which will be open from 4 to 9pm on May 21 and 22, and 12 noon to 9pm on May 23, 24 and 25.

Free admission at all times and there are free ride vouchers in the Stretford and Urmston Messenger.

There will be Disney lookalike mascots on the fair for the opening - including Buzz Lightyear, Mickey, Minnie and Donald.
