THE opportunity to dance with the team that choreographed the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games, as part of a spectacular light and movement event on the Quays, is now open to anyone from Trafford.

Mini Burble is an outdoor event happening on the doorstep of BBC North at MediaCityUK between July 14- 18.

Boy Blue Entertainment, the dance company that choreographed hundreds of dancers at the centre of Danny Boyle’s London Olympic Games opening ceremony, is urging everyone from Trafford to sign up for its next mass-participation ‘street dance’.

Hundreds are expected to take part in the final cutting-edge Mini Burble performance on the Saturday night (July 18), commissioned by Quays Culture, which will take part in the glow of a giant illuminated sculpture. A constellation of 300 giant balloons will be lit by individual LEDs and unfurled to create a floating sculpture of changing colours controlled by the public via iPad devices.

Anyone over the age of 16 from Trafford is invited to take part, with no prior experience necessary. To sign up, or for more details, people are urged to email participate@quaysculture.com before May 29.
