URMSTON Grammar School’s garden became host to several green-fingered volunteers recently, all offering their help in renovating the plant beds and plant wildflowers.
At the heart of the event was the Trafford-based, major food products corporation Cargill, who have funded a project that has reinvigorated Urmston Grammar’s 'Growing Sense' club.
The project was run by the Manchester charity Groundwork, who have helped in clearing the garden in preparation for a water harvest system that is due to be installed.
Urmston Grammar teachers and students, and parents of children at English Martyrs’ R.C. Primary School joined the workforce.
