ROMANTIC getaways for Valentine’s Day contributed to an increase of passengers by 10.2 per cent on last year for Manchester Airport, with top destinations including Dublin, Amsterdam and Paris.
The UK’s third busiest airport’s rolling annual total of passengers is currently at 22.19 million, and is on track to smash its all-time record of 22.42 million well before the summer holiday period.
Domestic traffic has increased by 19.6 per cent and the amount of air freight handled through Manchester has increased by 22.1 per cent on last year.
