A NEW website provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for parents, children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
The Trafford Independent Support Service has launched the website at independentsupportservice.org.
The Independent Support Service was established in September 2014 to support parents, carers, young people and children through recent reforms, where statements of educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties assessments (LDA) are being replaced by education, health and care plans..
The website covers a wide range of information including how to make a referral and guides around the reforms.
Elizabeth Stanley, Project Director for the Independent Support Service in Trafford says, “This website is an essential resource for families in Trafford who are in the SEN system."
For more information, contact Elizabeth or her team via the website or ring them on 0161 872 6879.
