SOME Urmston residents will soon get the chance to check out if they are in good shape.
Selected residents who are registered at the Urmston Group Practice will soon be invited to have an NHS Health Check at one of two pharmacies: Malcolm’s Pharmacy on Flixton Road or Reeds Pharmacy on Church Road.
NHS Health Checks offer people aged between 40 and 74 the chance to find out about and reduce their risk of serious problems such as heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, diabetes and some types of dementia.
Most people have their NHS Health Checks at their GP surgery.
People are also being invited to have it carried out at Tesco pharmacies.
