FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Trafford Centre after staff were alerted to the smell of smoke.
Four crews were called to the shopping complex at around 11pm on Friday, May 2.
Following an investigation, firefighters located the source of the smell to a side room where a light bulb had over-heated.
Smoke was generating from the light fitting but no fire had been caused, so crews made the area safe and used a thermal imaging to check for any hidden signs of fire.
