Extraterrestrial life will be the focus of a new magazine to be launched by a Bowdon based UFO expert.

The magazine has been launched by Stuart Miller of Richmond Road in recognition of a change in public perception regarding supernatural matters and the fact that it is taken much more seriously than ever before. Rather than focussing solely on UFOs, the magazine, which stems from his internet based UFO Review, brings together all different aspects of extraterrestrial life.

Miller said the magazine will also talk about the science of astrobiology and the science of life and how it may have started.

The first edition of the magazine will include four major scoops in an attempt to excite its new readers, including information about the Roswell incident of 1947, and also what the Ministry of Defence thinks about UFOs.

Miller established the online UFO Review in 2004 and had success with up to 10,000 readers of the publication before Miller began Alien Worlds. He said, "My ideas were changing. Before we were too UFO focussed and I realised this wasn't the answer to extraterrestrial life."

Alien Worlds magazine will launch on February 8 in shops such as WH Smiths, Borders and other independent stores. It will begin as a bi-monthly publication, which will look to be moved to monthly.

Stuart is optimistic about the project. He added: "I saw an opportunity. There has not been a magazine like this for years, so I had the idea and wanted to develop this. I'm full of anticipation and hoping it will be a success."

The most famous reigonal sighting of a UFO occurred in 1995, when a Boeing 747 was making its final approach into Manchester Airport, and almost collided with a fast, bright object. Upon contacting the airport, it was revealed to Captain Roger Willis and Co-Pilot Mark Stuart, that nothing had appeared on the radar.
