Fans can say goodbye to Frank Sidebottom at a celebration of his creator's life

FANS of the much loved Timperley comedian Chris Sievey will get a chance to say goodbye at a celebration of his life in Manchester.
Chris, the funnyman behind Frank Sidebottom, died recently after battling throat cancer and the Castlefield Arena will host Frank’s Fantastic Farewell.
Organisers were, at the time of writing, putting the finishing touches to the evening’s format. The event is expected to include celebrity speakers and videos of Frank’s songs and artwork.
* Frank’s Fantastic Farewell takes place at the Castlefield Arena, Liverpool Road, Castlefield, Manchester, on July 8 from 7pm to 10pm. Admission free.
