Parties retain seats in Trafford

First published in Local Election News

NO seats changed hands in Trafford during the general election.

Labour's Kate Green won Stretford and Urmston with almost 9,000 more votes than deputy council leader Alex Williams (Con).

Kate replaces Bev Hughes who stood down.

Also winning by convincing margins were Labour's Paul Goggins who kept Sale East and Wythenshawe and Conservative Graham Brady who retained Altrincham and Sale West.
