SALE High School students have been collecting items for Trafford South Food Bank, as part of the school’s commitment to the local community.

The collection has been spearheaded by Amy Williams, Head of Pankhurst House at the school.

Amy said: “Each year we choose a local cause to support in the run up to Christmas and with increasing pressures on families at this time of year, we wanted to give the local food bank a boost.

“The results of everyone’s efforts are clear to see and the School could not be prouder of its students. Well done everyone. ”

Each of Sale High School’s four houses competed with one another to see which of them could collect the most items of food.

Headteacher Jayne O’Grady said: “As the new headteacher of Sale High School I have been blown away by the amount of work the school does in the community.

“Our Young People rise to any challenge we set them and they, along with their families have surpassed themselves with their donations for the food bank.”
