AN ALTRINCHAM schoolboy's charity work has been awarded the Diana Award in recognition of his outstanding charity work.
Altrincham Grammar pupil Oliver Reeves is one of only 16 students in the North West to receive the ward in the 20th anniversary year of Diana's death.
Oliver, aged 17, has been recognised for his work as an outstanding project manager on the charity Chad's Challenges.
Oliver' Roll of Honour citation said: "Oliver has been the best ever project manager for his school’s fundraising initiative ‘Chad’s Challenges’ raising money for a fund established in memory of a former student who sadly lost his battle to cancer in 2008.
"Oliver has taken the lead on the organisation of a casino and quiz evening, a USA Presidential themed tea party and a ladies evening.
"As a result of his leadership skills and warm personality Oliver was unanimously voted in as project manager and the group has since then raised £1700 for Chad’s Much Loved Fund and The Willow Foundation with a further £1500 expected later in the year.2
