EMIRATES Old Trafford will welcome pupils from Stretford's Seymour Park Community Primary to the ground as part of the school’s ‘Enterprise Essentials Perfect Pitch Day’.

The event, on Friday, November 25, in the style of the popular television programme Dragons' Den, will see the children pitch their own ideas to several businesses.

Starting at 10am and running all day, the event will primarily take place in the AJ Bell Player and Media Centre at the ground.

Marks & Spencer and Costa Coffee have confirmed their support for this event and will be providing refreshments throughout the day.

CPS Digital Printing in Manchester have supported the children’s designs and printed the school graphic designs for the event to promote the sponsors.

Natalie Turner, from Seymour Park Community Primary School, who is leading the ‘Enterprise Essentials’ project said: “The children are extremely excited to have their 'special moment' of pitching their product at such a fantastic venue.”

Those attending from businesses include Eddie Austin from Nullam Careers Limited, the sponsors for the event; Julian Tait from the Garden in Manchester and Khalil Butt, a community champion from Stretford Tesco Extra. Rebecca Jeffery, who was a contestant on the current series of The Apprentice, will also be part of the panel.

Richard Turvey, founder and owner of Visibility, a Business Solutions company, Nick Hancock from Oxygen Freejumping, a representative from Costa Coffee, John Scully from 3P Logistics, Kimberley Waldron, director and co-founder at SkyParlour and Anthony Rae, headteacher at Seymour Park with the chairman of governors and councillor Anne Duffield and governor Aine Graven, will also offer their views on the pupils’ ideas.

Angela Hodson, head of conference and events at Emirates Old Trafford said: “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome such a fantastic event to the venue with local support from Marks & Spencer, Costa Coffee and Trafford Council, showing real community spirit to our future generation.”
