WELLACRE Academy in Flixton put on a Harry Potter Day to welcome boys from the area's primary schools - Urmston Juniors, St Mary’s and English Martyrs.
The primary school children were placed into a Hogwarts House - Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.
Wellacre's ambassadors for the day walked each group to their lessons and were on hand to answer questions, helping to acclimatise the young students.
Katie Mcdonough, leader of drama, presented a drama workshop, working in groups to create freeze frames of favourite Harry Potter moments. Each group had a chance to perform and act out scenes.
Science teacher Richard Asha set up a simple chemical reaction to create an explosive experiment.
As part of a joint primary liaison initiative, Flixton Girls School welcomed the girls from the primary schools.
