ANYONE considering a career in primary or secondary teaching can find out more at the Greater Manchester Bright Futures SCITT Information Evening on February 24 at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls.

The Greater Manchester Bright Futures SCITT opened in September 2015 delivering school-based, primary and secondary, initial teacher training through the Alliance for Learning. The Alliance for Learning is a partnership of 50 schools, colleges and universities led by Altrincham Grammar School for Girls working in partnership with St Bede’s Primary Academy. Its courses lead to the award of qualified teacher status and a postgraduate certificate in education.

The information evening will be held at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls on February 24 from 7pm. To book a place, email admin@allianceforlearning.co.uk.

Kal Hodgson, SCITT Director and Assistant Head of Teaching School commented: "The high quality of our courses results from the very successful relationship between the university and our partner schools. Between us, we have achieved an unrivalled consistency and coherence of university-based teaching and school placement opportunities for student teachers. This ensures that our postgraduates continue to maintain a competitive edge in the job market."
