STAFF at WHSmith’s Altrincham store have nominated Park Road Academy Primary School in Timperley as one of the beneficiaries of the WHSmith Trust Schools Giveaway. As part of the Giveaway, WHSmith stores will be donating WHSmith vouchers over 160 schools around the country. This initiative gives the schools an opportunity to boost their library and teaching resources for the new school year.
The WHSmith Trust Schools Giveaway builds on the Trust’s work to promote literacy and education, as well as supporting WHSmith stores in playing an active role in their local communities.
Altrincham WHSmith store manager, Gill Butters, said: “We’re really excited to have the opportunity to support Park Road Academy School and help to improve their library facilities and encourage children to read.
It’s also a great way for the staff at WHSmith to get involved with their local community and to build on our work to support improvements in literacy.”
