A GROUP of Y11 triple science students at Sale High School had to opportunity to chat to various STEM professionals across the world from the comfort of their own classroom.
Through links with Manchester Museum of Science and Industry, SHS was able to take part in an initiative to get pupils interested in pursuing further education and careers in science, technology, engineering and maths fields.
The young people were able to quiz the professionals about their jobs, what A-Levels they chose and even their salaries. The panel on hand included a space physicists, a renewable energy engineer, a theoretical particle physicist and an information and data security expert. The event certainly gave the youngsters a lot to think about.
