A NEW nursery at Altrincham Preparatory School is holding an Open Day for interested parents as it prepares to open in April.

On February 7 between 9.30am and noon, parents will get the chance to look around the state-of-the-art building at Bank Place and talk to staff.

The facility aims to provide outstanding nursery provision for only 16 boys at any one time, from 8am until 6pm and is due to open in April.

“APS is dedicated to nurturing confidence and excellence and it is exciting that we can now extend this and welcome boys in to the APS family when they are two,” said Sue Kelly, a member of the Early Years team at Bank Place. “The Nursery will provide a safe, happy and caring environment for the boys which, as a parent, is paramount.”

The APS nursery will have four members of staff for the boys, in a purpose built room. Working to the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, the nursery will focus on the personal, social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of each individual child.

The staff will be working hard to encourage communication, imagination and confidence in the boys, in a bid to secure a solid foundation for their future.

* APS is also recruiting more experienced, qualified staff to work at the nursery. Anyone interested in finding out more should call 0161 928 3366 nursery@altprep.co.uk.
