PUPILS from Heyes Lane Primary School in Timperley have just won a national handwriting competition - beating off competition from hundreds of schoolchildren nationwide.
The event was organised by the stationery giant Ryman and saw the school win £1,000 worth of their writing and stationery products.
Individual entries were voted on by a panel of independent judges as best in their categories for creativity and handwriting skills - and Daisy Quinn from Year Three and Jessica Grethins from Year 5 were given £50 to spend at Ryman.
Sarah Cheetham, marketing director for Ryman, said: “Heyes Lane demonstrated themselves to be ahead of the game when it comes to handwriting whilst Daisy and Jessica in particular really impressed the judges with their skills.”
