POPULAR head chef Rose Bolton has cooked her last meal for the hungry mouths at Altrincham Preparatory School.
Over the last 15 years the hard working catering manager has prepared 864,000 meals for the 330 boys and 35 staff across the school's two sites in Bowdon, and has loved every minute.
“It's always satisfying to cook for growing boys, because you get a lot of clean plates,” she smiled.
Happily married for 39 years Rose, 62, from Wythenshawe, has two children and four grandchildren and now plans to see more of her family, cycle throughout Cheshire and beyond as well as going on a lot of sunny holidays.
APS headmaster Andrew Potts said: "We all, Governors, staff and boys alike, wish her a deserved happy, healthy retirement."
