ABI Petitt and Eve Pecak, two sixth form students at Wellington School, Timperley, were so moved by a trip to the concentration camp Auschwitz-Birkenau that they decided to educate others within the school.

Having invited a Holocaust survivor to speak to Year Nine pupils, Abi and Eve produced educational materials and displays which were shared with pupils. They also arranged for a commemorative tree to be planted within the school grounds and buried a book containing the names of those who survived the holocaust alongside the tree.
