Drive 2 Thrive

Messenger Newspapers: drive 2 thrive This year’s Apprentice may now be over, but a new search has begun in Altrincham – Drive 2 Thrive.
Business hopefuls in Altrincham will be going head-to-head to win an amazing business start-up prize in the inaugural Drive 2 Thrive Altrincham awards.
Altrincham has a long history as a thriving market town, but over the past few years many businesses have left the town centre.
Local firm Myers Lister Price Solicitors has launched a competition to help get Altrincham town centre thriving once again.
Drive 2 Thrive Altrincham is a competition for people living and/or working in the area to come up with their own business proposition to boost Altrincham town centre.
The winning business idea will be awarded a £1,000 cash prize, plus a ‘money can’t buy’ business mentorship programme with leading business figures in Altrincham.
This will include business mentorship from Myers Lister Price Solicitors, PR and marketing advice from marketing and PR agency RMS, assistance with property and business planning from Nikal and business and training support from Trafford Council.
Michael Lister, managing partner at Myers Lister Price Solicitors, said: “Altrincham is a great place to work and it’s been sad to see many businesses leave over the past few years. We think it’s about time the people who live and work in Altrincham have their say in the future of the town.
“TV programmes like Dragons’ Den have helped people realise what you can achieve with a good business idea backed by a sound strategy.”
Drive 2 Thrive is supported by the Sale and Altrincham Messenger and business partners, RMS, Nikal and Trafford Council.
