String of break-ins at Sale allotments

SALE Police are urging shed and allotment owners to be vigilant after a string of break-ins.

On October 5, a lock was forced at a shed at a property on Kershaw Avenue and tools, drills, a sander, a roller and a transformer were taken.

The incident occurred between 8.45pm that night and 9.30am on October 6.

The next evening, an allotment at Moor Nook was broken into between 5pm and 8.45am the next morning and a red strimmer was stolen.

On October 7, a shed at another Sale property was broken into over night, again a padlock was removed.

Two bikes were stolen, a silver Hybrid and a black and white Joey and the thieves also searched through the car on the drive, which was insecure, fortunately nothing valuable had been left inside.

The following evening three allotments on Walton Road were broken into between 6.30pm and 9.30am on October 9, padlocks were removed at all three.

Items such as tools, axes and coffee were taken from the lots.
