Man charged for driving while drunk in Sale

SALE Police charged a man with drink driving offences after a traffic operation on Carrington Lane yesterday.

David Ford, 39, was stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, but upon checking, police then found he had a revoked licence, owed bailiffs £1000 in fines and he was intoxicated.

He has been charged with drink driving and driving otherwise in accordance with license.

He has been bailed until a court appearance on November 1.
