Group’s social success at golf club

THE Breathe Clean Air Group and supporters held their first major fundraising event on Friday evening (Sep 21) at Davyhulme Park Golf Club.

The disco and buffet brought together residents and their Councillors and raised nearly £1,000, which will go toward legal costs at the forthcoming public inquiry against the controversial Barton Renewable Energy Plant.

Chairman of the Breathe Clean Air Group, Pete Kilvert said: “We are very grateful to all who contributed to the event. It is vital that we get enough funding to pay for our legal representatives.”

Forthcoming social events include a Jam tribute band night on October 19 and a race night on October 27.
