Brooks Institute Charity to close down

THE trustees of the Brooks Institute Charity in Ashton-upon-Mersey have decided to distribute its assets to charitable projects and to close down.
The £220,000 assets of the charity are mainly from the sale of the Brooks Institute building several years ago.
The decision has been made with the permission of the Charity Commission as trustees found it increasingly difficult to maintain the grade II listed building.
