Timperley pub fun day raises money for Francis House children’s hospice

FOR the fifth year running the Quarry Bank pub in Timperley hosted a charity day on Sunday (September 2) to raise funds for Francis House children’s hospice.

Customers and supporters enjoyed dancing, a tombola stall, nail and face painting and an evening raffle of prizes donated by companies including Manchester City and Manchester United.

The event rasied £2,200 Resident Anne-Marie Noon, the organiser of the day, said: “The fun day was started as Francis House has always been a charity close to the community. Over the past five years the event has raised more than £15,000. Everyone digs deep and joins in the fun.”

Pub manager Keith Reagan and partner Andrea Breen and all he bar staff lend their support, wearing Francis House t-shirts.

Thomas Breen who works on the bar, donated all his tips to Francis House at the end of the evening.

Anne-Marie added: “The pub always gets together for the Annual Francis House charity day and the customers that attend would give you their last penny for Francis House.”
