TWO concerts are being held in south Trafford this weekend to support an Altrincham woman's project that has transformed the lives of hundreds of children in the Philippines.
The gigs will back the work of former Altrincham Grammar for Girls pupil Chrissy Hailes Perillo, who runs the Philippine Outreach Centre Ministries.
Chrissy set up the project, which includes a children's home and a school. She has lived the Philippines for more than 25 years.
Chrissy - who is visiting her hometown of Altrincham - and her family will be talking about their experiences and singing at the concerts.
The first one is at 7.15pm on Friday (May 4) at Broomwood Centre, Mainwood Road, Timperley. Entry is £3 including a hot drink and buffet. Pay at the door or call 0161 282 6676 for further details.
At 7.15pm Saturday (May 5) the Freedom Charity concert, again featuring Chrissy and her family , will be held at the Upper Room Christian Fellowship, Bowdon Road, Altrincham. Entry is £5. Further details from Jon on 07748 482261.
