THE Mayor of Trafford, Councillor Jonathan Coupe, was guest of honour when the doors of the Window Company’s new showroom were officially opened in October.

Friends, staff and family, alongside customers old and new, joined the Mayor in raising a glass to a very bright future.

The brand new, purpose-built, 5,000 sq ft showroom occupies the site of a former drive-through car wash on Chester Road in Stretford.

It carries a full range of windows and doors, alongside the warehouse and trade counter for sister company, TradePlas.

“We’re all absolutely delighted and customers have been very impressed. Everyone in the team agrees that our new home totally reflects our strong ethos of quality workmanship,” says managing director, Wayne Shaw.

“We can cater for all of our customers’ needs when it comes to choosing the right doors or windows, because we now have all our products on show.

“We’ve also massively expanded and improved our service to the trade. Our TradePlas warehouse is five times larger than before, which allows us to stock most items on same-day delivery. We can turn quotes around within the hour too.

“It’s only been a year since we got the keys to the old car wash, and I can’t believe how far we’ve come in that time.

"I’ve seen many episodes of Grand Designs in which new-build projects face delays and budget problems. They always use those famous last words: ‘We’ll be in by Christmas’ and it never happens.

"For ourselves, though everything went according to plan. We’re open for business before Christmas and it's all down to our fantastic team: every single one of them has pitched in and given it their all. Those are our kind of people at the Window Co!”
