AN unattended pressure cooker sparked a house fire in Old Trafford on Saturday morning.
Fire crews were called to a mid-terraced house in Shrewsbury Street shortly before 10am on May 13.
They found that a pressure cooker had been left on the hob and had caught fire. The fire was contained to the kitchen and crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put the blaze out.
High pressure fans were used to clear the smoke.
Crews were in attendance for around 30 minutes.
No-one was injured and the cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
