IN its fourth year, Run in the Dark Manchester is set to light up the night at MediaCityUK with runners embarking on either a 5k or 10k course.

It will take place at 8pm on Wednesday 16th November around Salford Quays and Trafford Wharf.

Along with London and Belfast, Manchester is the only other UK city to host an official event in this global series supporting Mark Pollock Trust to fast-track a cure for paralysis.

As darkness falls on November 16, 25,000 people right around the world, in more than 50 cities, will pull on their running shoes, slip on their red flashing armbands and hit the road to Run in the Dark.

The Mark Pollock Trust is exploring the frontiers of spinal cord injury recovery, working with the world’s greatest scientists on the project.

Runners who sign up for the run before August 31 will get a free long sleeve tech top to run in - and get a head start on their fundraising.
