TIME is running out for Trafford businesses to book a place at a partnership information event being held at Trafford Town Hall on September 11.
Hosted by Trafford Council, in partnership with Big Life Enterprises, Trafford Housing Trust and the Department of Work and Pensions, the session aims to provide information for Traford businesses about ways they can be supported to recruit responsibly.
It will also advise on ways they can support the local community and what benefits there are for employers doing so.
Executive councillor for Economic Growth and Planning, Michael Hyman, said: βIt is important that local businesses are supported in their recruitment. information events such as this one are one way of ensuring this support.
"I would encourage businesses to get in touch as soon as they can to make sure they secure their place at this event, where they will be able to get lots of information and advice in one informal, supportive environment.β
On the day, businesses will hear from other businesses such as TNT and Trafford Housing Trust, which have supported people with health barriers get back into work.
There will also be free advice and information about support businesses that employ people with health conditions can get, together with lots of other useful tips and advice.
The two hour session will end with a free buffet lunch with opportunities to network with like-minded businesses.
Interested businesses are being urged to book one of the few remaining places as soon as possible, by emailing business@trafford.gov.uk with their company name and contact details.
