AN Altrincham community group has been shortlisted for Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014.
The Counselling and Family Centre, on Mayor's Road, has been nominated alongside St Ann's Hospice, in Worsley, Parents in Partnership, in Stockport andFriends of South Park, in Cheadle Hulme.
Lloyd's has split the country into 350 'community groups', of which the four aforementioned organisations are part.
In each community the good cause that receives the most votes will receive a £3,000 award, with the second placed group receiving an award of £2,000, those in third and fourth place receiving £1,000 and £500 respectively.
he number of votes cast in each community will determine how Community Fund awards are allocated, voting began on September 2 and closes on October 10.
Votes can be cast in Lloyds Bank branches, online, by SMS text message and, for the first time, via Twitter.
