THE facilities at Chester Road Recycling Centre in Stretford have been revamped.
Waste disposal bosses say it now boasts easier access and an improved layout - as well as bigger and better containers, allowing more items to be recycled.
They reckon it is now a lot easier for residents to recycle the waste they bring along, from hard plastics, such as toys and garden furniture to TVs and computers, fridges and textiles.
Cllr Michael Young, Trafford member for Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA), said: “I think the site will prove to be even more popular with residents than before and they will be pleasantly surprised at the difference.”
The opening times are 8am-6pm, and from March 31 they are extended to 8am to 8pm.
