FIREFIGHTERS cut a woman out of a car following a two-vehicle collision in Timperley.
The accident took place at around 4.20pm on the junction of Shaftesbury Avenue and Thorley Lane and caused traffic chaos on the surrounding Broomwood estate yesterday.
The crew from Altrincham Fire Station used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the 32-year-old woman’s black Audi; she was then taken to Wythenshawe Hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the other vehicle was able to leave their red Vauxhall Corsa without assistance
