Firefighters free boy, two, from locked car at Sainsbury's Altrincham
11:29am Monday 14th January 2013 in News
A TWO-year-old who was locked in a car at Sainsbury’s Altrincham had to be freed by firefighters.
The fire crew was called to the car park of the Lloyd Street supermarket at 2.10pm on January 13; it is not known how long the toddler had been trapped in the vehicle.
The crew from Altrincham Fire Station used a HART kit — Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service's kit for cutting people from cars and vehicles — to release the boy from the car.
He was said to be fine following the ordeal.
