SALE motorists are being warned that burst pipe on the A56, Cross Street, is likely to cause delays.
The incident has resulted in the closure of two lanes outside The Volunteer pub and there is currently only one lane open in each direction.
A Trafford Council spokesman said United Utilities will be working throughout the weekend and into next week to fix the problem, with work planned for completion by Thursday, January 10.
Park Avenue, in Sale, is also being closed, with access only provided.
The council thanks motorists for their patience while this issue is resolved.
