The future looks green for an Altrincham hotel -as it aims to be the first BEST WESTERN hotel in the UK to be Vegetarian Society accredited.
Recently, Robert Higginson, sous chef at the BEST WESTERN Cresta Court in Altrincham, was presented with his professional diploma in vegetarian cuisine from the Cordon Vert School at the Vegetarian Society by hotel general manager Paul Hindley.
This award comes as the hotel is undertaking the process to become the first BEST WESTERN hotel in the UK to be accredited by the Vegetarian Society.
“There are a growing number of guests and conference delegates who already opt for the vegetarian choices on the existing restaurant menu and so in order to respond positively to the customer demand, we are now creating a new selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes for our menus.
“I am delighted that Robert has successfully completed his diploma from the Cordon Vert School and we will of course be involving him in the development of our new vegetarian cuisine, due to be served from January.”
Paul added: “Being a Vegetarian Society accredited Hotel is much more than that though, it is about understanding and respecting vegetarians, ensuring that all guests receive an accommodation and conference venue experience in keeping with their tastes and beliefs, and I am confident that we can deliver that standard from early in the New Year.”
