A SUSPECTED underage drinker assaulted a doorman after being asked to leave an Urmston pub.

The offender was asked to leave the Chadwick at 9pm on September 29 and became angry.

He then became aggressive towards staff and punched one pub employee, a 28-year-old man, in the face.

A number of people the offender was with then joined in and began pushing the victim before they all left via Flixton Road.

The victim suffered a fractured eye socket in the attack.

The offender is described as white and 16-years-old.

The three that assisted in the attack are also described as white, one is thought to be around 16-years-old and two others are believed to be in their early 30s.

Det Con Andrew Warren, of Trafford CID, said: “The victim suffered a serious facial injury and we have been working hard to identify the offender since this happened.

“Unfortunately we are no closer to knowing who is responsible so I would urge anyone who was in the pub and saw what happened or knows who is responsible to call the police.

“Perhaps you have overheard someone talking or boasting about this incident, if so please contact us in complete confidence.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 0161 856 7669, or Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
